La La Anthony was born to Puerto Rican parents and identifies as Afro-Puerto Rican. She is the eldest of four siblings. Her passion for music and entertainment emerged early; at 15, she began her career in radio at WHTA-FM HOT 97.5 in Georgia, where she co-hosted the show Future Flavas alongside then-unknown Ludacris.
